aren't we all?

i have faced the most ferocious of beasts
traveled the most hazardous of journeys
fought the bravest of warriors
took the greatest of risks
gambled the choicest of possessions.
in my own way i am a legend-
a symbol of bravery,
a source of inspiration,
envied by all for the way i live
for i am not bound by any chains of emotions.

but i confess...i am a coward,
a prisoner of the ugliest beast of all-expectation.
i have built a wall around my heart.
not allowing anyone into it,
nor allowing it to reach out to anyone.
because my greatest fear
is the fear of love not returned.

Lovely verse.

It scares the crap out of me, because that used to be my biggest fear!

SOMETIMES WE BUILD A WALL AROUND OUR LITTLE HEART NOT BECAUSE FOR THE FEAR OF LOVE, BUT TO WAIT AND SEE WHO IS STRONG ENOUGH TO BREAK IT.....

good one. but i suggest u shd indulge a bit more so that words that usually dont go well with poetry stay away. risk taking for that matter. give it a thot. :)
